Give priority to important things [Time management - Network marketing - MLM]

Maybe you have heard this anecdote by an old Harvard teacher specialized in time management. I would love to tell you that story again to show you a scenario you may have not thought about.

It goes like this: at the beginning of the class, there is on the teacher’s desk a big bowl that could be used as a fish tank. The teacher then puts on his desk a box full of stones as big as a fist and asks his students the following question:

Show your gratitude [Personal motivation]

The notion of gratitude is of major importance when trying to keep a positive attitude. In today’s society, we are constantly bombarded by negative messages. We could be bustling with excitation at the thought of each new day coming up, but the great majority is not.

Feeling grateful for what you already have can help you shine.

Have you already noticed that people with a positive state of mind and attitude more often attract favorable opportunities in their life and business? Do everything you can to ensure that you become that kind of person!

Why giving up is not an option! [Personal motivation]

Sadly, the great majority of people starting off in the relational marketing business give up after a while. There are several ways of looking at these statistics. Giving up is not the prerogative of our business. People give up their studies, their jobs, other people divorce or quit training. It’s easy to give up. In today’s world, people tend to give up when things become too difficult. By deciding not to give up, you place yourself above the bulk of those who choose not to fight. These people do not persevere because they do not nourish hopes of discovering what they lack in order to reach their goals.

Almost every single day, you will hear an inner voice telling you to give up something. Renunciation is always an easy way out, and is therefore undesirable: it’s the path of least resistance.

This leads to a lack of faith and skill in achieving what you committed yourself to. Such a choice will bring on doubt and disappointment, and ultimately failure.

Just try to imagine what kind of nation America would be if Martin Luther King had given up! Of course, he went through moments when he felt he made no progress in his quest for racial equality. Do you think he was ever tempted to forget his notion of excellence and to resign himself to be just an average human being? Had he done so, he would have annihilated his dream of a better future and left all those people who found inspiration and leadership in him.
